Ruby Jean Carroll Smith

Jean Smith passed away at the great age of 93. Jean is proceeded in death by husband Harry Baker Smith Sr. and youngest daughter Lauren Price Smith Mince. Her surviving children are Harry (Hank) Baker Smith Jr., (Pamela), Scott Galloway Smith, (Beth), Jeffrey King Smith, (Barbara) and Carroll Lane Smith Zehner, (Walter). She was the proud grandmother of Elsbet Smith Hollywood, Alison Smith, Liesl Zehner, Margaret Zehner, Greta Zehner, Nathan Mince, Ryan Mince and 2 great grandchildren Baker and Knox Hollywood. Jean was born in Bryan, Texas as the only child of Bruce and Rachel Carroll. Jean moved to New Orleans with her husband in 1950 with her final years in Hammond. A private gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. The family is grateful for all the efforts of those involved with making Jean comfortable in her final days.
