Ruby Evelyn Parker Landry

Ruby Evelyn Parker Landry passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 surrounded by her family, at her residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 90. She was born on Monday, February 21, 1927 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Eva Colkmire Parker and Willie Lee Parker. 

Ruby is survived by husband, Lanell "Tony" L. Landry; son & daughter-in-law, Barry T. Landry, Sr. and Linda Landry, daughter, Darlene M. Landry Shelton, and son, Michael D. Landry; three grandchildren, Barry "Beezie" T. Landry, Jr. (Jenny), Robert J. Landry (Sarah), and Candace C. Kinchen; and four great-grandchildren, Reese, Carter, Lily, and Baron Landry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Eva Colkmire Parker, four sisters, Emily "Fruzza" Dominguez, Myrtle "Teanie" Lavigne, Edna "Eppie" Lavigne, and Louise "Bootsy" Hebert, one brother, Philip "Buddy" Parker, and her grandson, David M. Landry. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday morning from 8:30 am until 10:30 am, followed by the funeral procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. 

Interment will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
