Roy Earl Threeton Jr.

Roy Earl Threeton Jr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on Tuesday, June 25, 1957, in Independence, Louisiana.

Roy's main occupation was boat mechanic, which he did for 45 years. He was still receiving calls to help people when he was under hospice, always willing to help. He was a master of many trades, he worked for Thermo King for a number of years and was on call, he could walk a driver through a fix in the middle of the night without remembering the call, not sleepwalking sleepmechanicing. Though he worked a lot and didn't make every event, the most important thing in Roy's life was family, he adored his grandchildren.

Roy is survived by his wife, Mary Ernst Threeton, daughter; Amanda Chittenden (Bret), daughter, Shannon Wells (Michael), son, Braden Threeton (Courtney); grandchildren, Sabrina, Garrett, Julia, Emily, Dustin, Tucker, Dakota, Jalyn and Wyatt; brother, Douglas Threeton, half sister, Dianne Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Earl Threeton Sr. and Kay White Threeton, also his in-laws Joseph and Joyce Ernst.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. 

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Tuesday at 11:00 am

Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.
