Rosie Accomando Trapen, life long resident of Tickfaw, LA, died on April 26, 2021 at the age of 87 at her home.
Rose is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Trapen and Toni Jean Clemons (Seavy), five grandchildren, John Bartus, Chris Bartus (Teresa), Seavy âColeâ Clemons, Jacy Downing (Ryan), Page Bankston (Justin) and 4 great grandchildren, Elijah Knox, Rylee Cole Downing, Kinsley Rose Downing and Ava Brooke Downing.
She is predeceased by her husband, John Anthony Trapen, brothers, Joe Accomando, John Accomando, and Emile Accomando, sisters, Fil Accomando, and Laura Jones, parents, Sam and Josephine Iverstine Accomando.
Rose began at the age of 18 working at Antins Jewelers in downtown Hammond and later Amite. Â Later, she and her husband established Tangi Exterminating, where she helped her husband develop a successful pest control company. Â Roseâs home was always open to her family and friends. Â Not a day passed in her life without children, grandchildren or great grandchildren seated at her kitchen table. Â She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466 on Thursday at 11:00 am, with Fr. Michael Galea, officiating.
