Rosemary Rotolo Bourgeois Brown

Rosemary Rotolo Bourgeois Brown, 79 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at North Oaks Medical Center. She was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1937, in Tickfaw, Louisiana to Joseph Raymond and Lena Margaret Campise Rotolo. Rosemary loved to volunteer and was voted North Oaks Medical Center's 2015 Volunteer of the Year. She also loved arts and crafts, crocheting, baking with her family, but especially loved her grandchildren and family.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Richard Brown, her son, Benton B. Bourgeois, Jr. and his partner Patrick Johnson, her daughters, Lynne Bourgeois Broussard and her husband Martin "Buddy", Karen Bourgeois Bush and her husband Erbin, Barbara Bourgeois, Mary Jo Bourgeois Hartline and her husband Bill, Susan Brown Pickett and her husband Curt and Lisa Brown Amerson, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, her brothers, Joseph Rotolo and his wife Shirlyn and Carlo Rotolo, also many nieces, nephews and other family.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Raymond and Lena Margaret Campise Rotolo and her 1st husband, Benton Bourgeois, Sr.

A Visitation for Rosemary will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Rosemary's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am in the church. Entombment will follow in the Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans.

Rosemary wishes that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 N. Oak St. Hammond, LA 70401 in Rosemary's memory.

A reception celebrating Rosemary’s Life will be held from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at Holiday Inn, 330 Loyola Ave. New Orleans, Louisiana following her entombment.
