Rose Pierson Drury

Rose Pierson Drury, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Friday, March 5, 2021, at the age of 94. She was born on March 23, 1926, in Sorrento, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Edward S. Pierson and Sierra Burton Pierson. Rose was a loving homemaker throughout her life, caring for everyone around her. Her legacy is her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who she loved more than anything.

Rose is survived by her son, Steve R. Drury (Carla); daughter, Doris Drury McCahill; grandchildren, Cindy McCahill DeJean (Leon), Erin McCahill Boyd (Jason), Steven Drury (Connie), Shane Drury, and Heather Niehaus Perrin (Brandon); great grandchildren, Paula, Hunter, Hayden, Wyatt, Gabrielle, Abby, Dakota, Marie, Lily, and Trent; brother, Sam Pierson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Rose's niece, Lisa Vander Pol and her husband Brian who visited and helped with anything she needed, as well as the staff at St. Tammany Hospice for their compassionate care.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve J. Drury, Jr., 8 brothers, 2 sisters, and son-in-law, John R. McCahill.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will begin held 12:00 pm, with Rev. Jimmy Wall officiating.

Entombment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
