Rose Mary Wells Little

Rose Mary Wells Little was born June 24, 1944, to the late Dutch and Sadie Sheridan Wells. She passed away at her home in Ponchatoula, LA, May 24, 2026. She was a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Rose is survived by her son, Kevin “Boo” Little; daughter, Teresa Leeper (Jerry “Jay”); special fur baby, Emmy Lou; brother, Vincent “V.E.” Wells (Peggy); grandchildren, whom she adored, Nicholas Dutch Leeper (Mallory), Christopher “Teaux” Leeper (Lexie), Chace Leeper, Kyle Leeper (Savannah), Joseph Ryan Leeper, Jase Leeper, and Nataleigh Leeper; and great grandchildren, Lila Leeper, Riley Leeper, Silas Leeper, Jaxson Leeper, Delta Lyn Leeper and Nolan Jones. Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Little; son, Kenneth D. “Junior” Little, Jr; brothers, Jack Wells, Jerry Wells, and Bucky Wells; and sisters, Beverly Wells Fontenot and Carol Wells Lavigne. One never had to wonder where Rose stood on an issue, as she was quick to share her thoughts and opinions. She enjoyed playing the lottery, watching game shows, making mayhaw jelly, and cheering for her Saints. Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until religious services at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later date in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
