Rose Mary "Dolly" Anzalone Cason

Rose Mary "Dolly"Anzalone Cason, 95 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday,December 23, 2018, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born on Thursday, November 1, 1923, in Independence, Louisiana to Sam and Gussie Anzalone. Dolly enjoyed life and loved reading, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren. Dolly had her own sandwich shop for many years across from the high school where all the students would go to eat. She was a Librarian for many years at Mater Dolorosa Catholic School and for the city of Independence. 

Dolly is survived by her daughter,Faye LaMarca and her husband Michael, Sr., her grandsons, Darren LaMarca andhis wife Babbette, David LaMarca and his wife Susan and Michael LaMarca, Jr.and his wife Dawn, her granddaughter, Diane LaMarca, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.  

Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Gussie Anzalone, her husband, Burnell Cason and her brother,Frank "Gene" Samuel Anzalone. 

A Visitation for Dolly will be held on Friday December 28, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely &Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Rose Mary's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.Entombment will follow at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum.
