Rosa Marie Smith Mcdaniel

Rosa Maria Smith McDaniel, 64 years old of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Colonial Care Retirement Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She was born on Monday, December 22, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rosa loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, animals of all kinds, and characters Betty Boop, Mickey, and Minnie Mouse.

She is survived by her sister, Melvina Doss; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosa was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Smith; mother, Sadie Green; and step-father, Norman Green.

A Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at a later date as well as burial at St. Roch Cemetery #1 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made on Rosa's behalf to the Tangi Humane Society, 46219 River Rd., Hammond, LA 70401.
