Ronnie Young Ridgdell

Ronnie Young Ridgdell passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 78.  He was born on Tuesday, July 6, 1943 in Madisonville, Louisiana to the late Jeanette Fridge and the late Owen Ridgdell.  He was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Janet Saizan Ridgdell; children, Elizabeth Woods (Sidney), Ronnie Ridgdell (Stephanie), Shariee Hemphill, David Jones, Jr. (Shawn), and Matthew Jones (Staci); grandchildren, Martin Lanier, Grant Lanier, Kayla Smith (Stephen), Laken McMorris (Kirk), Kamron Ridgdell, Sydney Hemphill, Meagan Benson (Graham), Brendan Ploger (Katelyn), Ashlynn Jones, Payden Jones, and Mason Jones; great-grandchildren, Amelia Rae Lanier, Ruby James Smith, and Paislee Ploger; and numerous brothers, sisters, and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Ridgdell; mother, Jeanette Fridge; step-mother, Ruth Ridgdell; sister, Sandra Pinion; and his grandmother, who raised him, Vida Adams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, May 20, 2022, beginning at 3:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 6:00 PM.
