Ronald Wayne Smith

Ronald Wayne Smith  passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 75.  He was born on Monday, August 26, 1946 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Weir and Edna Smith. He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Ronald is survived by his sons, Larry (Claudia), Bryan (Keri) and Errol (Shelley), grandchildren, Aaron Chapman (Margaret), Bryce Smith, Hayden Smith, Jennifer Dennis (Justin), Brianna Smith and Zachary Dennis (Danni), great-grandchildren, Clay and Ty Chapman, Jayden Lapine, Marleigh and Jordan Rowell and Owen Ordoyne, as well as his siblings, Ann Castagilla, Deborah Broyles and Christopher Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 54 year, Phyllis Smith, as well as his parents, Weir and Edna Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 am.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
