Ronald Paul "Pooka" Landry

Ronald Paul "Pooka" Landry, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the age of 82. He was born on July 27, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Kermit Landry and Thelma Turnage Landry.

Pooka is survived by his wife that he has been with for 11 years, Kathleen Smith "Cissie" Chavers; daughters, Karen L. Tucker, Denise Milton McKinney, Cherry Landry, and Becky L. Thompson; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; former wife, Mary Ann F. Landry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Pooka was preceded in death by his children, Kerwin Mark Landry, and Trudy Lynn Landry; 3 brothers, Averill "Billy" Landry, Lionel Landry, and Elwin "Timmy" Landry; and former wife, JoAnn Phillips Landry.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
