Ronald Norbert "Ronnie" Krohn, of Amite, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on August 4, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Joseph Norbert Krohn and Bertha Marie Victor Krohn. Ronnie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the early 1960s. He served in the Air Police in Turkey with the K9 unit. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of duty and honor that remained a cornerstone of his character throughout his life. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 16 in Covington. Family was at the heart of Ronnie's life. He embraced his roles not only as a husband and father but also as a grandfather and great-grandfather. Ronnie's love for his family and his country will be remembered forever.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Betty Bush Krohn; daughters, Ronna Spansel (Darrin), and Leah St. Martin (Travis); grandchildren, Curtis M. Taylor Jr. (Summer), Matthew J. Taylor (Kelsey), Nicole Griffin (Harley), and Lindsey Rosa (Brett); great-grandchildren, Scarlett Grace Taylor, Timothy Griffin, and Amelia Rosa; and daughter-in-law, Carol Krohn.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, Randall Krohn, and sister, Marilyn Krohn.

A private service will be held at a later date and Ronnie will be placed at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana.
