Ronald Curtis Harper

Ronald Curtis Harper age 70, passed away at his home of 19461 Old Covington Hwy in Hammond Louisiana onSunday, October 29, 2023.  He was the owner of Harper’s TV and appliance in Ponchatoula Louisiana for over 50 years.  He served as a lieutenant with Ponchatoula Police Department and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s office. 

Ronnie had a love of the outdoors, being on the river, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Carol T Harper, two daughters Cynthia L. Bruce Jenkins married to Russell Jenkins Sr and Susan G. Bruce married to Kevin E. Kinchen.  Ronnie has four grandsons Russell W Jenkins Jr., Seth K. Jenkins, Heath J. Jenkins, and Kevin C. Kinchen; one granddaughter Autumn M. Kinchen (Ferlin Mulkey), and three  great grandsons Hayden Lock, Sebastian Jenkins, and Gresyn Mulkey; three great granddaughters Harper Creppel-Kinchen, Hayven Lock, and Dakota Soloman.  His sisters Jackie Richardson, Melanie Monistere, Tammy Cason, Cherie Harper, and brothers Ricky Harper and Paul Harper. 

He is preceeded in death by his daughter Dawn Michelle Harper, mother Shirley Perrin Harper, father Henry Richard Harper, brothers Glenn Harper and Brad Harper, nephew Shane Harper and granddaughter Summer Leigh Kinchen. 

Flowers are welcome, but the family prefers donations be made to The Alzheimer’s association and Ponchatoula Police department on behalf of Ronald Curtis Harper.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, November 2, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond, Louisiana.
