Roland Herbert Bourgeois

Roland Herbert Bourgeois passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 7, 1935, in Ponchatoula, to the late Herbert Eugene Bourgeois and Inez Morales Bourgeois. Roland was a charter member of Westside Baptist Church in Ponchatoula, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a retired insurance agent. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Wagner (Matt); son, David Bourgeois (Stormie); grandchildren, Courtney Threeton (Braden), Jami Cupit (Ray), Rhett Wagner (Tressa), Lacy Helminiak (James), Breann Dees (Chris), Clint Goodwin (Jade), and Harley Bourgeois (Leroy); ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Harper. In addition to his parents, Roland is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alice Oline Bourgeois; brothers, Robert Bourgeois, and Hanson Bourgeois; and his sister, Gloria Silverthorne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, on Friday, November 15, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until funeral services at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Andy Stafford. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
