Robin Lee Fuller

Robin Lee Fuller was born on June 10, 1944, in Akron, Ohio. She attended The University of Akron, where she graduated with a degree in Education. She and her husband Roger were married on January 21, 1967. After several moves with his career, they moved to Hammond in 2002, where they made their forever home.

Robin was a caring and loving wife, friend, neighbor, sister, aunt, and “Granny”. She was always willing to help others with an open heart. Robin never let a birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion go by without mailing a hand-written card. She enjoyed all holidays, but her favorite was Christmas. Robin loved to decorate her home and bake Christmas cookies to share.

Robin’s favorite place to vacation was the beach. She and Roger traveled annually to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with friends, as well as Gulf Shores, Alabama, and to Ohio and Virginia for family reunions.

Robin’s hobbies included baking, knitting, crocheting, and reading. She shared priceless treasures from her knitting and crocheting with all of her friends and family. She also greatly enjoyed meeting friends for lunch and spending time with the ladies in her knitting group.

She graciously accepted her title as, ‘Granny,” 20 years ago, and she embraced it whole heartedly.

Robin had a strong spirit and never complained. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after a 5 year battle with cancer.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jo Wheeler Cunningham and George William Cunningham.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Roger Lawrence Fuller; her siblings, Paul Cunningham and Cheryl Cunningham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We thank the nurses and staff at Passages Hospice for their care.

A gathering will be hosted at the home of Malcolm and Leah Fitzhugh, June 10th, at 6:00 PM.
