Robert Anthony Soell Jr.

Robert Anthony Soell Jr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at St. Tammany Parish Hospital on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the age of 65. He was born and raised in New Orleans, graduated from Abramson High School, served in the U.S. Navy and has been a resident of Ponchatoula for the last 40 years. Robert was well known as a fast-paced, fast talking, jack-of-all-trades who could sell you anything. He was often fixing things and could improvise in any situation. Robert loved 70s and 80s rock music and watching live music especially The Chee Weez. Robert's two prized possessions were his family and his fishing boat. Anyone who has been on one of Robert's notorious fishing adventures knows him as the "Big Fish Chaser." Robert loved his family dearly and was always very proud of his daughter Officer Pricilla Dean of Ponchatoula PD. With so many great memories he will be missed by many.

Robert is survived by his father, Robert Anthony Soell, Sr.; mother, Evelyn Stephens Soell; children, Pricilla Soell Dean (Larry Pierson), Bobby Soell, and Donny Soell (Casi); step-sons, Ryan and Brad Guzzardo; grandchildren, Lizzie, Brianna, M.J., Katelyn, Kinsley, and Kade; siblings, Rickey Soell and Robin Oliphant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Maurer Soell.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Sunday, June 4, 2023  from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. 

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula on Sunday at 3:00 pm.
