Robert "Robby" Traylor, Iii

Robert E. "Robby" Traylor, III, affectionately known by his friends as "Dog," gained eternal life on January 3, 2017.

True to his nature, Robby entered this life impatiently as a survivor, and a fighter, by making his arrival 2 months early, on August 7, 1971 in Hammond, Louisiana.

He had the uncanny ability to make everyone around him laugh, with his sometimes sarcastic and quick witted sense of humor. Robby was a talented artist when it came to creating intricate works of art out of metal, building boats, and woodwork. His creativity was unlimited, as well as his always "on go" personality. But that was what made "Dog, Dog." He had a passion for bull riding, and rodeoed for many years, and was a proud member of "Cowboys for Christ." He was a Bedico River Rat, who knew, loved, alligator hunted, and spent many childhood summers on Bedico Creek, at his family camp, "The Cold Bear Lodge." Robby had many things and people that he loved and enjoyed, but his truest of true loves, was his wife, and his 4 children. Up until the very end, he did things his way, the cowboy way, and "took the bull by the horns."

Preceding Robby in death, is his mother, Cyndie Traylor Dominick, and grandparents, Bobby and Ann Traylor.

He is survived by, and will be loved and deeply missed by his wife and the love of his life, Allison LeBlanc Traylor; his 4 children, Whitney and Savannah Traylor, James Matthew Booty and Jake Colin Traylor; sister, Barbara Dominick Abadie; nephews, Zachary Travis, Richard "Ricky" Shelton, and Robert Barker;

nieces, Haley Travis, Melanie Shelton, and Jayleigh Davis; mother and father-in-law, Lisa and Bryant LeBlanc; sister-in-law, Addie Davis; brother-in-laws, Gene Abadie, and Jason LeBlanc; aunt and uncle, Patricia Traylor Jones and Artie Jones; great-aunt, Maude Darbonne; as well as his best friends, Thomas Shockley,  Brett Bennett, Shelby Stanga, Mike McDoyle, Paul Roussette, and Mike Guagliardo.

Visitation and funeral services will all be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Services will begin at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations towards a headstone can be given to Allison, Addie or Barbara.
