Robert Paul Payne

Robert Paul Payne, 49 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Natchez, Mississippi. He was born on Saturday, March 6, 1971, in Slidell, Louisiana to Herbert George Payne and Eva Mollison Payne Schum. Robert enjoyed life and loved the Lord, hunting, fishing, yard work, and his puppies, but he especially loved spending time with his grandkids and family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Robin Amacker Payne, his sons, Morgan Payne (BreAnne Bankston) and Nick Payne (Raegan Young) his daughter, Kelli Jo Payne (Steven Collins), his grandchildren, Brayden Tyler Payne, Taysom Collins and Sawyer Rae Payne on the way, expected to arrive June 10, 2021, his mom, Eva Mollison Payne Schum, his sister, Angela Payne Crayton, his mother-in-law, Lynn Sawyer James, his father-in-law, Bobby Amacker, and his fur babies, Cooper, and Izzy, also many loving relatives and close friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Herbert George Payne, his son, Shelby Tyler Payne, his maternal grandparents, Lola Richardson Mollison and LeRoy Mollison and his paternal grandparents, Virginia Heffka Payne, and Marion Herbert Payne.

A Visitation for Robert will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Hoffman Cemetery in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Robert’s Life will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the cemetery.
