Robert Leon Dunn, Jr., of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at University Medical Center on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the age of 69. He was born on July 13, 1952, in Mobile, Alabama, the son of the late Robert Leon Dunn, Sr. and  Aline Hedgepeth Dunn. Leon was a faithful Christian with the heart of a servant. He touched countless lives through coaching youth baseball and football, serving as a chaplain for the sheriff's office and hospice, pastoring and leading music for many churches, and being a good friend and neighbor. If you knew anything about Leon, you knew that he was a devoted University of Alabama fan, he loved the outdoors, grilling, golfing, and antique cars, but most of all he loved his grandbabies. He was a remarkable man, with a kind and comforting spirit. Leon had many sayings, but one that he would never want us to forget is "keep your eyes on Jesus, he'll never let you down."
