Robert L. "Pookie" Jones, Sr.

Robert L. Jones, Sr., of Springfield, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the age of 59. He was born on September 17, 1962, in Hammond, Louisiana, the son of the late Ralph and Estelle Jones. Robert, also known as "Pookie," enjoyed playing pool, fishing and raising chickens, ducks and honey bees.

Robert is survived by his life partner, Dorothy Commander; sons, Robert L. Jones, Jr. and Dusty Jones; daughter, Melissa Jones; grandchildren, Brent Rowe, Jr., Madison M. Jones, and Dalton B. Jones; and sisters, Brenda Gayle and Juanita Jones.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am.

There will be no graveside service.
