Robert H. "Bob" Fisackerly, Jr.

Robert H. "Bob" Fisackerly, Jr., of Killian, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the age of 89. He was born on Saturday, October 14, 1933, in Greenwood, Mississippi, the son of the late Robert H. Fisackerly, Sr. and the late Frances Rush Fisackerly. Bob was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and he and his wife lived in Baton Rouge for many years. Bob graduated from LSU with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and worked for Dow Chemical in Plaquemine for over 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany and the Knights of Columbus, and was a co-founder of the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Beth Fisackerly Cleveland; son, Wiley Fisackerly; grandchildren, Tom Cleveland (Meg), Catie Cleveland, Aileen DeHart (Nick), Linnie Sustaita (Moses), Frances Fisackerly, Lilly Fisackerly, Micah Fisackerly, Rob Fisackerly, IV, Kristen Arnold (Will), Melissa Berghaseuen (Joe), Ruth Cashen, May Clare Cashen, Bennet Cashen, and Luke Cashen; numerous great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Terri Cashen (David).

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Wiley Fisackerly; sons, Scott Fisackerly and Robert H. "Bob" Fisackerly, III; daughter-in-law, Terri S. Fisackerly; twin great grandsons, Robert Fisackerly, V and Nathan Fisackerly; and great granddaughter, Ivanee Sustaita.

The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude for the loving care, concern, and attention provided by all the employees of Summerfield Assisted Living in Hammond.

Family and friends will be received at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina officiating.

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
