Robert "Bob" Lee Holmes

Robert "Bob" Lee Holmes passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016, in Holden, Louisiana, at the age of 72.  He was born on Saturday, January 1, 1944, in Abbeville, South Carolina to the late Dorothy Brown Holmes and Bennie Holmes.  He was a resident of Holden, Louisiana.

Husband of Bonnie Jean Howell Holmes; father of Melanie Foster (Randall), Robbie Holmes, Carol Jones and the late Brian Holmes (Melissa Howell Holmes); stepfather of, Randy Brister, Cynthia Carlton, Wendy Carlton Dubroc, and Ernie Carlton, Jr.; brother of, Sue Burdette (the late Skeet), Judy Gailey (David), Marty Holmes (Zoila), and Debbie Craft; grandfather of Beth Olivares, Adam Watts, Nicole Aubin, Meagan Holmes, Abbie Holmes, Robbie Holmes, Jr., Bridget Jones, Nick Jones, and Gabriel Jones; and dear friends, Kayla, Katelyn, and D.J. Hutchinson.  Also survived by many great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and special friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until service time.

Interment will follow in Amite Memorial Gardens, Amite, Louisiana.
