Robert "Bobby" Adams

Robert “Bobby” Charles Adams of Hammond, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026.

Above all else, Bobby cherished his family and found great joy in spending time with his loved ones. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle whose kindness, faith, and humor touched everyone who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his son, Christopher Adams; his grandchildren, Blake Adams and Blaire Adams; his great-granddaughter, Paisley Thibodeaux; his aunt, Helen Gabriel; and his special in-laws Brad and Katherine McGlothren, Etta Baham, and Herbert Jones.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rita Adams; his parents, Lucille Adams and Jerry Adams; his siblings, Jerry Adams Jr. and Patricia “Pat” Adams; his uncle, George Gabriel; his nephews, Gary Baham and Brice Baham; and special in-law, Gordon Jones.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that Bobby is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. His legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

To celebrate Bobby’s life, visitation for family and friends will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, LA, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Following the funeral service, a private graveside service for family will be held at Killian Chapel Cemetery in Amite, LA.
