Rita Ann Bowman

Rita Ann Bowman passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in Walker, Louisiana, at the age of 82.  She was born on Sunday, June 25, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Alonso Ison Bowman and Rita Louella Leblanc Bowman. She was a resident of Walker, Louisiana.

Rita is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Darrell Anthony Bowman (Carla), son, Terry Wayne Bowman, daughter & son-in-law, Teresa Darlene Meyers Cardwell (Rick), brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth Bowman (Penny), sister, Annette  Bowman, sister, Joyce Stafford, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Larry Bowman, Lonnie  Bowman, Bruce Bowman, Timothy (Timmy) Bowman; sister, Peggy Bowman; Parents, Buddy and Rita Louella Leblanc Bowman; and daughter, Virginia Carol (Jenny) Eccles Bowman; .

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
