Ringa Cvitanovich Feemster

Ringa Cvitanovich Feemster peacefully passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 91. Ringa was born August 7, 1930, in Triumph, Louisiana, to Croatian immigrant parents, Peter and Oringa Simich Cvitanovich, making her a first generation American in her family. Ringa was married to the love of her life, Richard “Pat” Feemster, Sr., for sixty-three years until his death in 2010. They shared all of life’s experiences hand in hand with love, humor, and faith in God. They shared these same values with their children and their children’s friends who popped in and out of the house for food and sleepovers through the years. A native of Triumph, Louisiana, and a resident of Ponchatoula since 1990, Ringa was actively involved in her church, the United Methodist Women, and the Eastern Stars. She cared deeply for all her friends and neighbors and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Ringa will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughters Darlene Leach (Ray), Sherri Artecona (Pancho), her daughter-in-law, Debby Feemster; her much loved grandchildren Joshua Feemster, Lauren Lane (Nathan),Katherine Feemster, Nicholas Fisher (Chad), Susan Frelich (David); and great-grandchildren Madelyn Lane, Avery Lane, Ridley Feemster and Hunter Frelich. Ringa deeply loved her nieces Diane Ragan, Cathy Sonnier, Nancy Horn and her nephews Brian Mistich, Gary Cvitanovich and Frank Cvitanovich. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pat, and their dearly loved and missed son, Richard Feemster, Jr., and by her two brothers and sisters-in-law John and Joyce Cvitanovich and Frank and Jo Cvitanovich. A loving shoutout to great-granddogs Lola, Bayleigh, Mimi, and Coco, who provided nothing but love to their Mamo.

The family extends sincere thanks the administration and staff of Old Jefferson Community Care Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for their tender care during the last two years, and to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice Bluebonnet who cared for Ringa during her final days.

A private service will be held at the family’s request. Rev. Deirdre’ Allen, officiant; and Phillip Clark, pianist.
