Richmond "Rick" N. Gore, 56 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at home with his family by his side. He was born on Saturday, March 26, 1960, in Denver, Colorado to Richmond N. Gore and Marie Ard. Rick was a man of routine and enjoyed life. He lived by his motto, "It'll be okay, everything is gonna be all right." Rick loved to watch TV, hunting, fishing, and was a true ladies man. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren.
Rick is survived by his son, Jason Gore, his daughter, Chelsey Ritch, his mother, Marie Ard, his grandchildren, Madilyn Pierre and Tristan Gore, his brothers, Todd Gore and his wife Cindy and Scott O'Neal and his wife Kim, his sisters, Angela Christiana and her husband John and Holly Truebger and her husband Mike, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Richmond N. Gore.
A Visitation for Rick will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Rick's life will immediately follow visitation at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Cockrum United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cockrum, Mississippi.
