Richard Frank Prima

Richard Frank Prima, of Robert, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on Tuesday, September 27, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Richard, a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, worked in nuclear medicine at Tulane Medical Center for 20 years. After retiring from Tulane, he embarked on a second career in Law Enforcement; serving his community and state for over 30 years. 

Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda LeBlanc Prima; son & daughter-in-law, Matthew and Shawn Prima; daughter-in-law, Shannon Prima; sister, Mary Howley; grandchildren, Lindsey Gaubert (Craig), Joshua Prima (Jami), Noah Prima (Adele), and Kaitlyn Prima; great-grandchildren, Shane Gaubert, Jordan Gaubert, Alexa Prima, Elijah Prima, and Amelia Prima.

He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Prima, his parents Leonard Prima and Anita Wille; sisters, Anita April, and Dorothy Krone, brother, Leonard Prima, Jr.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. 

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 55720 Hwy 445, Husser, Louisiana 70442 on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Church Cemetery in Husser, Louisiana.
