Richard Michael Crawford Jr.

Richard Michael Crawford Jr. passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 90.  He was born on Thursday, June 24, 1926 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Geneva and Richard Michael Crawford Sr..  He is a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Angelina Josephine Cangelosi Crawford; daughters, Dawn Crawford Fike and husband Scott, Karen Crawford Gauthreaux and husband Dean, Gwyn Crawford Maechling and husband Slim, and Rose Crawford Trosclair and husband Tommy; daughter-in-law, Annie Norris; sister, Thelma Crawford Thomas; grandsons, Damian Scioneaux, Mark Trosclair, Brad Posecai, Dean Gauthreaux Jr. and his wife Jenna, and Kirk Gauthreaux; granddaughters, Melissa Trosclair, Aimee Bass and husband Brian, Candace Phillps and husband Thorn, Bridget Maechling, and Anne Norris; great-grandchildren, Alexis Scioneaux, Hannah, Cooper, Sera Bass; Isaac, Sarah, and Caleb Phillips, Ryleigh Gauthreaux, and Braden Wilroy. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; Step-son, Wayne Norris; two sisters, Ernestine Crawford, Rosemary Crawford Musso; four brothers, Peter Crawford, John Crawford, Ernie Crawford, Mike Crawford; .

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church from 9:00 am until service time .

Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery No.1 5000 Canal St. New Orleans, LA 70119.
