Richard James Dykes

Richard James Dykes, of Independence, Louisiana, passed away at Ochsner Hancock Medical Center on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the age of 64. He was born on Tuesday, July 9, 1957, in Amite, Louisiana, the son of the late Floyd and Verlie Lewis Dykes.

Richard is survived by his wife Jacqueline Ferguson Guerrera, step-son, Lenny Albarado; nephews, Harvey, Stanley and Charles Anthony; nieces, Melissa Smith and Karen Anthony; and brothers-in-law, Marvin and Pip Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Dykes Anthony, and brothers, Alfred and Russell Dykes.

A Graveside Service will be held at Briar Patch Cemetery on Briar Patch Cemetery Road, Loranger, Louisiana 70446 on Monday September 27, 2021 at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow at Briar Patch Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
