Richard Joseph "Richie" DiSabato

Richard Joseph "Richie" DiSabato, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on December 17, 1952, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, the son of the late Rocco J. DiSabato and Barbara Dunphy DiSabato. Richie graduated from Needham High School in Needham, Massachusetts and the Culinary Institute of America in New York.

Richie is survived by his sister, Monica DiSabato Greer of Hammond, Louisiana, twin brother, Robert Joseph DiSabato and wife Joan of Westwood, Massachusetts, sister, Laura DiSabato Hurley Gagnon and husband Jerry of Danvers, Massachusetts, and 8 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richie was preceded in death by his brother, Nick DiSabato and brother-in-law, Robert H. Greer.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Ponchatoula Community Care Center and Passages Hospice for their compassionate care.

Services will be held privately and Richie will be placed with his family in Newton Cemetery in Newton, Massachusetts.
