Richard Allen Castell

Mr. Richard Allen Castell, age 68 of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, March 6, 1951, in Monticello, Indiana.

He was a US Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. Richard loved his family and LSU Sports. He also enjoyed music and performing "living room concerts" with his daughters.

Richard is survived by his wife, Pam Lambert Castell; daughters, Christina Castell-Ott, and Ginger Myree Castell; step-son & daughter-in-law, Bud and Jennifer Robertson; step-daughter, Suanna Robertson; mother, Claudia Thompson Castell, grandchildren, Canaan Ott, Claire Ott, Jackson Splain, Tyler Robertson, Braden Robertson, Emmee Stroud, Chance Stroud, and Sophie Stroud; sister, Mary Jo Castell, and brother & sister-in-law, Danny and Charolette Castell.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. K. "Casey" Castell, grandson, Caleb Joseph Beard-Castell, and his brother, Jimmy Castell.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home at 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue at the First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula, on Saturday,  at 2:00 pm, with Dr. David Cranford officiating.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Richard requested that anyone attending his services, wear LSU colors or sportswear.
