Fischer, Richard A. “Dick”

Richard was born January 26, 1945, in Cleveland, OH and passed away December 27, 2020, in Hammond, LA at age 75.  He was a member of Crossgate Church of Robert and a retired supervisor with Smitty Oil Company in Arcola, LA.  

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Oleta Fisher; his children, Kim Edwards, Richard Land, Devonna Leavell, the late Kandee Leavell, David Devon Leavell, and William Lee Leavell; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; neice, Brenda Baker Lette; and nephews, Craig Fischer and Scott Baker.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Wilda Fischer; sister, Cheryl Baker; and brother, Jerry Fischer.  

Visitation will be at Crossgate Baptist Church, 22494 Highway 190, Robert, LA, Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 1:00 pm until funeral services at 3:00 pm conducted by Rev. Louis Husser.  Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula.  Pallbearers will be Christopher, Michael and David Leavell, and Johnny, Cody and Cory Joiner.
