Renée Marie Grippo

Renée Marie Grippo, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the age of 38. She was born on Monday, October 28, 1985, in Houma, Louisiana, during Hurricane Juan, the daughter of Andrew and Crystal Grippo. Renée was a dedicated reader who found joy within the pages of countless books. She had a particular fascination with zombies and the apocalypse, often immersing herself in thrilling tales of survival against all odds. In addition to her love for reading, Renée had a unique taste for B-rated movies, finding enjoyment in the often-overlooked charm and creativity of such films.

She is survived by her son, Zachary Clyde Grippo, significant other, Michael Arnouville, parents, Andrew and Crystal Grippo, father-in-law, James Arnouville Jr., sisters, Christina Myers (Donald), Melissa Miller (Eric), and Ashley Byers (David), brother, Christopher Wright (Stacy), as well as, nieces and nephews, Paul, Lillie, Ali, Seth, Isabella, and Julianna.

Renée was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adam and Virginia Myers, grandmother, Jeanette Grippo, nephew, Tyler James Myers, and her mother-in-law, Cynthia Arnouville.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 9:00 am until services begin at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.

Pallbearers are David Byers, Donald Jerome, Kyle Willis, Paul David Byers, Christopher Wright, and Andrew Grippo. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Arnouville and Zachary Grippo.
