Rene Alton Gandolfo Sr.

.Rene Alton Gandolfo Sr., of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the age of 94. He was born on October 30, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Joseph Rene Gandolfo and Lucille Choppin Gandolfo. Rene retired from Louisiana Gas.

Rene is survived by his children, Sandra Falcon (Darryl), Rene Gandolfo Jr. (Laura), David Gandolfo, Brian Gandolfo, Michael Gandolfo (Debra), Glenn Gandolfo (Alisa), Keith Gandolfo, Suzanne Pitts (Marty), and Allison Gandolfo; 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Rene was preceded in death by his son, Duane Gandolfo, grandson, Ashley Gandolfo, brother, Donald Gandolfo.

A Graveside Service will be held at Lake Lawn Park All Saints Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124, on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rene's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
