Reese Edward Howell, Sr.

Reese Edward Howell, Sr., of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the age of 78. He was born on September 12, 1940, in Independence, Louisiana, the son of the late Felix Howell and the late Lottie Payne Howell. Reese was a long time member of Hagan Chapel in Tickfaw.

Reese is survived by his children, Angie Howell of Tickfaw, Frog Howell (Betty) of Tickfaw, Wanda Anthony (Tim) of Independence, Jerry Howell, Sr. (Deonna) of Tickfaw, and Liz Price (Johnny) of Tickfaw; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Gary, Wesley, Felix "Jim", and Thelma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Reese was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Howell; son, Tommy Anthony, Sr.; and siblings, Dorothea, Bobby, Wayne, Freddy, and Henry Lee.

Family and friends will be received at Hagan Chapel, 48172 Whiskey Ln. Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466, on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Hagan Chapel on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 8:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Jim Howell officiating.

Interment will follow at Howell Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
