Redrick James Joiner, Jr.

Redrick James Joiner, Jr., of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away at The Crossing in Baton Rouge on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the age of 91. He was born on Wednesday, July 16, 1930, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, the son of the late Redrick James Joiner, Sr. and Nellie Kyzar Joiner.

James is survived by his wife of 41 years, Audrey Berne Joiner; daughters, Dorris Joiner Milton, Rebecca Joiner Horton, Janet Joiner Verdun, and Alicia Joiner Nicholas; son, Clarence Neal Joiner; stepchildren, Frank, Mike, and Vicky Barber; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Dustin and Austin Barber and Kristin Summers; sisters, Gladys Spicker and Betty Pal; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sisters, Betsy Curtis, Stella Fernandez, Nellie Epaphanio, Grace Chadwick, and Mozella Lavigne.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will begin on Thursday at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Joiner Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
