Ray was a retired Lieutenant with the Hammond Police Department. After retirement he worked at R. He loved working in the yard and gardening and sharing all of his vegetables with his neighbors. His favorite place to be was at the beach; he loved just sitting on the beach and watching the waves. He is survived by his wife of nearly 34 years, Jane A. Havlicek; his three children, Gabrielle Havlicek, Shelby Havlicek, and Baily Havlicek (Edward LeBlanc); his brother, Michael Havlicek; and his granddogs, Duke and Stitch.
