Raymond "Biddie" Joseph Jacob, 94, of Ponchatoula, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at Belle Maison Nursing Home. Biddie was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. As a member of the 513th Parachute Infantry, he was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge and awarded the FAME Theatre Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, the Purple Heart and American Theatre Ribbon. He was an avid gardener and hunter.
Surviving are his sister, Alfreda C. Jacob; nephews, Lucien and Roy Dufreche; nieces, Penny Edwards, Renie Clark, Dawn Cole and Carolyn Charbonnet.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy King Jacob; parents, Irene Jacob and Edward J. Jacob; sisters, Gladys Dufreche and Rubylee Morel.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Ponchatoula Cemetery.
