Randy "Buddy" "Little Oop" Lee Matthews

Randy "Buddy" "Little Oop" Lee Matthews passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 75. He was born on Tuesday, February 25, 1947 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Jessie Havard Matthews and the late Dairl Matthews. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Buddy was a retired Boilermaker from local chapter # 37.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Nancy Ochsner Matthews; children, Bridgette Kitchens, Randi Matthews, Brady Matthews (Carrie), Terri Harper (Matthew), and Jill Snow (Jeff); 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Bonnie Methvin (Jerry), Donnie Pregeant (Benny), and Debbie Bardwell (Danny).

In addition to his parents, Buddy is preceded by his brothers, Dennis Matthews and Eugene Matthews; and sister, Carol Kay Morse.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
