Randall "Randy" Paul Farriel

Randall "Randy" Paul Farriel, of Maurepas, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born on Friday, August 21, 1959, in Gonzales, Louisiana, the son of the late Joseph Antoine Farriel and the late Juanita Neuschafer Farriel Brown.

Randy was a dedicated plant manager at ExxonMobil, where he spent many years working before his retirement. Outside of work, Randy found his greatest joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Whether casting a line on the water or spending time in the woods, he appreciated the peace nature brought him.

Randy was known for having strong opinions, particularly when it came to politics, and he never shied away from sharing his thoughts. He had a way of offering advice that was honest, direct, and often exactly what someone needed to hear, even if it was not always the advice they wanted.

Above all, he loved to spend time with his siblings, either just hanging out or cooking up a good meal with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Randy is survived by his sister, Cynthia Threeton, and her husband, Terry, and brothers, Gerald Joseph Farriel and his wife, Nonie, and Kenneth Patrick Farriel and his wife, Terri, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his stepfather, Raymond Brown; stepsisters, Rosemary Mack and Gloria Hano; and stepbrothers, Raymond Brown, Jr., and Charles Brown.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Wednesday at 2:00 pm, with Bro. Mike DePhillips officiating.

Interment will follow at Maurepas Cemetery in Maurepas, Louisiana.
