Piney Rose Traylor Dominguez Loper of Springfield, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on Saturday, May 10, 1941, in Pumpkin Center, Louisiana.
Piney is survived by her husband, Elbert Loper Jr.; her sister, Patricia Ann Young (Jimmy); her sister-in-law, Lucille Traylor; and Cynthia Traylor, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Piney retired from Regions Bank after 35 years of dedicated service, where she enjoyed helping her community and her customers. Piney always made everyone feel like they truly mattered. She was a faithful member of Calvary Christian. She loved hosting wonderful holiday gatherings and honoring special occasions for her precious family and friends. Piney worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was just right. She made everyone feel at home in her beautiful, loving presence. Piney loved to travel with her husband, Elbert, for 18 years.
Piney always had a heart for others. She loved reading her Bible, hearing the gospel, sharing her love of God, and worshipping our Lord. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she lived it through her kindness, generosity, and the way she cared for so many people.
We would like to thank Melissa Negrotto of Home Instead and Helen Evans for the wonderful, loving care they gave her.
