Peggy Faciane Parker, 84, of Hammond, LA, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, in Mandeville, LA.
She is survived by sons Brian Parker (Michelle) of Covington, LA and Stephen Parker of Madisonville, LA, daughters Karen Parker Ellis (Steve) of Hammond, LA and Robin Parker of Madisonville, LA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Parker Ellis (Ashley), Laken Ellis, Landon Parker, Keri Parker Cannizzarro (Louis), and Allyson Parker, 3 great-grandchildren, Salvatore Cannizzarro, Amelia Ellis, and Easton Ellis and sister Linda Faciane Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, President Emeritus of Southeastern Louisiana University, Dr. Clea Edward Parker, parents Clenney and Mary Ann Galatas Faciane, brothers Richard Faciane, Melvin Faciane, and Glenn Faciane, and sister Iona Faciane Boyd Gross.
Friends will be received at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, LA on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a Mass starting at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Clea and Peggy Parker Endowed Scholarship in Education Fund at Southeastern Louisiana University through the Southeastern Development Foundation , SLU 10703, Hammond, LA 70402.
