Pauline Marie Cacioppo LaPlaca

Pauline Marie Cacioppo LaPlaca, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on October 1, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Pauline was a loving wife and dedicated mother. She was a strong woman who always did what needed to be done, no matter how challenging the task. Pauline worked for K& B Warehouse for many years and countless other jobs wherever she could help. She was known as a hard worker and someone who always finished what she started. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched, remembered not only for what she accomplished but for the heartfelt spirit with which she lived.

Pauline is survived by her loving husband, Frank LaPlaca; daughter, Paula Ann LaPlaca Honaker; grandchildren, John Honaker Jr., Lacey Honaker, and Shawn Honaker; siblings, Tony Cacioppo (Ana), Josephine Dragon, and Mary Ann LaRocca; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlo Cacioppo and Anna Sirchia Cacioppo.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 11:30 am until the Funeral Service begins at 1:30 pm, with Peter Fontana officiating.

Entombment will follow at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence, Louisiana.
