Pauline Kropog Martin Frisbie 90, of Springfield, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 27, 2021 surrounded by her family. Â She was born in Springfield, Louisiana.
Pauline was a member St. Margaret/St. Thomas Catholic Church where she served as lector and Extra Ordinary Minister. Â She was a CYO leader and a Charter Member and Past President of the St. Margaret Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a secretary for the Pupil Appraisal Center at the Livingston Parish School Board and secretary of the Bilingual Hungarian Language Program at Albany Elementary School. Â She was also a Girl Scout Leader. Â She enjoyed her role as an Election Poll Commissioner.
Pauline was a former âNavy Wife  of the Yearâ nominee,  and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Amvets Auxiliary.
Being of Hungarian descent, she took Hungarian culture, language, customs and food seriously. Â She was a former member of the famous local Hungarian Harvest Dance Troop. Â She was a member of the Arpadhon Hungarian Settlement Cultural Association and the Hungarian Settlement Historical Society where she served as a docent. Â As part of the Bilingual Hungarian Language Program, Pauline studied at the Teacherâs Training Institute in Debrecen, Hungary. Â After much preparation, Hungary awarded her Hungarian Citizenship in 2015.
Pauline was always a gracious host, she held many family gatherings at her Springfield home and invited family and friends to their Red Lodge, Montana Cabin during summer.
Pauline is preceded in death by her first husband Lieutenant Commander James W. Martin USN. Â She is preceded in death by her second husband Colonel Norman âFrizâ Frisbie USAF. Â She is also preceded in death by a son Ken Frisbie.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Elizabeth Kropog and siblings: Mike Kropog, Steve Kropog, Joseph Kropog, John Kropog, Elizabeth Kropog Kelly, William Kropog and George Kropog. Â
Pauline is survived by her children: Alex, Laura (Ron), Mark (Kristen), Mary, Renee (Simone), Sheila (David), Steve (Mary Ellen), Terry (Nigel), and Walter (Melissa), one brother Alex Kropog (Royanne) and one sister Helen Kropog Gottschalk. Â Very special niece, Libby Langford. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation  will begin at 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM. The St. Margarets Ladies Auxillary will be saying a rosary at 11:30AM, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. in Hammond 70401 on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.  A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Springfield at 3:00 PM. Â
Interment at St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery in Albany, Louisiana. Â
