Pauline Compton Yingling passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15th, 2023, at the age of 80.  She was born on September 25th, 1942, in Mississippi to very humble beginnings.  She was raised in Denham Springs, Louisiana and was able to live a life full of love, travel and accomplishments.  She left behind a legacy that will live on for generations.

She was the loving and devoted wife of James Yingling and survived by her children Carla Fitzhugh and husband Jerry Fitzhugh, Trina Stafford and husband Michael Cary, Keith Stafford and Timmye Lynn Stafford and her step-children Craig Yingling and wife Laurie and Chris Yingling Coulter and husband Jay Coulter.

Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews were her entire world and she leaves behind grandchildren; Bailey Fitzhugh Anthony and husband Garret, Coleton Bennett and wife Michaela, Katie Fitzhugh, Chase, Charleigh and Sawyer Cary, Stacy Stafford Hillegas, Kris Yingling, Averie Lajaunie Stephen and Lucy Coulter as well as great-grandchildren; Austyn, Savannah, Cannon, Collin, Oakleigh, Gabriel, Liam and Wesley.  And her great niece Gloria Alexander and husband Richard and their children.  

She is proceeded in death by her parents Jennie Hutchinson and LV Compton, her siblings Fred Compton, Jimmy (Pete) Compton and Gloria (Polly) Avery, her granddaughter Amy Roberts Fitzhugh and grandson Brendan Harrell.  

The family has chosen to honor her wishes to bury her ashes at the Hyde Cemetery in Chesbrough, LA with a graveside service on January 29th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
