Paul Byron Anthon, a true child of God, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 28, 2018. Paul was born to Ellen Laura Stevens and Ludwig Christian Anthon on May 13, 1944 in Hammond, Louisiana. Paul was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He loved his family dearly, and especially enjoyed the time he shared working on race cars with his son.

Paul was the beloved husband of Aimée Gaudé for 36 years. He is survived by wife Aimée of Hammond; son, Paul Byron Anthon II and wife Becky Anthon of Borger, Texas; 2 stepsons, David Howard of Hammond, and Matt Howard of Tennessee; step grandchildren, Stephen Howard of Tennessee, Cody Bolin of Borger, Texas, and Brittany Gage of Stinnett, Texas; step great grandchildren, Ashton Gage of Stinnett, Texas and Matthew Howard of Tennessee; sister, Eliska A. Fauntleroy and husband J.E. of Hammond; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John Gilbert Anthon, George Carson Anthon, and Merlin Clarence Anthon.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at New Beginnings Christian Church, 42418 S. Range Rd. Hammond, Louisiana 70403, on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Dan Landry officiating.
