Patricia Diane Benton

Patricia Diane Benton, age 72, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. She was born on April 26, 1954, and spent most of her life in California before later residing in Albany, Louisiana.

Patricia devoted much of her life to caring for others. As a caregiver for individuals with special needs for many years, she touched countless lives through her patience, compassion, and unconditional acceptance. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, loved, and valued exactly as they were.

She was known for her kind heart, nurturing spirit, and deep love for animals, especially wolves and her beloved dog, Skeeter. Patricia found joy in simple moments and offering comfort to those around her.

She is survived by her son, John Benton, and his children, her beloved grandchildren; her brothers, Tim Benton and Glynn Benton; her loving nieces, Kendra Stites, Victoria Whitehurst, and Rylie Benton; her cousin, Jacquline Everett; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Patricia’s warmth, empathy, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Though she is no longer physically with us, the kindness she gave so freely will never be forgotten.
