Pamela Elizabeth Raines

Pamela Elizabeth Raines, of Hammond, Louisiana passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 69. She was born on February 15th, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Norman and Patricia Raines.

She was a loving, caring mother whose greatest pride and joy were her two sons and her grandchildren. She spent 40 years as a cosmetologist, a career that perfectly matched her infectiously vibrant personality. She also found joy in tending to her garden and watching it grow. She was a loving sister, daughter, and friend who touched the lives of many with her big heart, warm spirit, and unmistakable presence.

She is survived by her children, Tony and Shane Raines; grandchildren, Harper, Isla, and Ivy Raines, her sister; Bonnie Lanau, as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Patricia Raines, her Brother Earl “Butch” Raines, and her Sister Norma Jean Slaughter.

Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely Funeral Home in Hammond, La this Sunday, August 30th, 2026, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

A funeral service will be held at Harry McKneely in Hammond, La at 1:00 p.m. this Sunday, August 30th, 2026, with Jeff Robinson of First Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will follow at Reed-Raines Memorial Garden 27205 Hwy 40 Folsom, La 70437.
