Ollie Robertson

Ollie Robertson passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in Amite, Louisiana at the age of 96.  She was born on Thursday, October 7, 1920 in Dayton, Texas to the late Laura Leese Austin and the late Theodore Austin.  She was a resident of Robert, Louisiana.

Ollie is survived by her daughters, Wilda Smith, Lovinia "Beanie" Robertson, and Emily Heck and her husband Douglas;  son, Lawrence Alfred Robertson and his wife Kim; 9 grandchildren, Tammy Thomas, Marvin Smith, Carvin Smith, Roy Smith, II, Johnny Robertson, Gwen Davis, Wendell Heck, Derek Robertson, and Jill Bankston, 25 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Austin; mother, Laura Leese Austin; husband, Lawrence Robertson; son, Baby Robertson; 3 brothers, Ernest, Wilbur, and Marshall Lee; 6 sisters, Rosa Shelton, Alma Lee, Laura Ballard, Maggie Lee, Luda White, and Gladys Langer; great-grandchild, Austin Elliott Smith; and two son-in-laws, Roy Smith and Albert L. Ross.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.  

Interment will follow in Lanier Cemetery.
